Beach Play - Day 2

On our 2nd day in Maui, I finally got to play in the pool and at the beach. By this time, I was no longer scared of the ocean, but I never knew how exhausting water play can be. Because I needed a longer nap than usual, we didn't do much else, but mommy said that's the way she likes it on her vacations.

For lunch we went to Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

Earlier that morning, after breakfast, I decided to take a morning stroll on the beach. It was quite peaceful and relaxing.

Taking in the sights of Lanai, our neighboring Island.

Later that day I finally got to jump into the pool. Actually, there was no jumping involved seeing this section of the pool was only 8 inches deep.

I got into my rocket ship and floated around.

Beach play followed shortly after. The ocean was actually warmer than the pool, but my parents made me wear my wetsuit anyways.

I discovered what all the fuss is about playing in the sand. It's completely addicting. I'm on my way to building a sand castle.

This is me 30 minutes later. I've made a lot of progress, huh?

All that swimming and sand castle building stirred up an appetite. I was forced to snack on some munchies.

We went to a different beach down in Makena. This one had huge waves, so I didn't get a chance to swim in it.
