The Emu (pronunciation: Help:PronunciationIPA: /ˈiːmjuː/([1][2]), Dromaius novaehollandiae, is the largest bird native to Australia and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius. It is also the second-largest extant bird in the world by height, after its ratite relative, the ostrich.
"Stretch out your long legs. E-E-Mu, Move like an Emu Moves"
I absolutely fancy this song. So much so that I had to look up more info on this bird-like creature. I will have daddy record me do all the Emu dance moves and post it on a later date.
Last weekend was MOMMY'S 30th birthday. Daddy said turning 30 is a huge deal so they had some time to themselves. It was actually my idea to send them away. I took daddy aside and told him to plan a romantic weekend for mommy. Let me tell y'all what he did for mommy.
First, once again. Happy Birthday Mommy! On her birthday, Sunday morning, daddy & mommy dropped me off at grandma and grandpa's and hopped on a plane towards San Francisco. I got to stay up so late that night, I had a blast as well. Here's a collage of pictures that daddy took. I haven't been so these pictures represent SF to me. Mommy said she had the best dim sum ever at a place called Yank Sing. She also said that it was the most expensive dim sum she's ever had. Already I've learned that most of the time, you get what you pay for. Here's mommy posing. And daddy on the beach. Mommy said since it was her birthday, she got to spend the majority of the time shopping. And here's one of daddy and mommy together. That's my parents for those of you who haven't caught on yet. The day before, daddy planned a surprise birthday lunch with all of their friends at Cheesecake Factory. Again, I helped plan, but elected to allow them to enjoy the day without me. Later that night we all went out for a sushi dinner, Aunt Janett, Grandma, and Grandpa included. Here's Aunt Esther and Anna with mommy. And the whole gang. I didn't feel left out cause none of my friends were there anyways. And a shot of pre-lunch. Looks like Aunt Amy misses pushing Noah in her stroller. Mommy and Aunt Jeni looking happy. Mommy was telling me about her weekend and she said she had so much fun. I'm glad. On behalf of daddy. Thank you Uncle Kevin, John, David, Jun, Aunt Kayla, Jeni, Anna, and Amber for a wonderful daddy's birthday sushi dinner this past Sunday. I enjoyed Aunt Kayla's udon very much. I'll leave you guys with some of my imfamous dance moves.
새해 복 많이 받으세요! Transalation, many blessings for your new year. I hope that everybody had a great Christmas and New Year. For the New Year, I've come up with some New Year's Resolutions: 1. Get potty trained. 2. Learn my ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ. Right now I can recite ABCDE and O. 3. Begin golf lessons. 4. Go on my first snowboarding expedition. (December 08) 5. Visit Disneyland.
Here's my official "New Year's" look. In my 한복. Halmi (grandma) was showing me a picture of daddy when he was my age. There's a lot of resemblence there. In our Korean tradition, we 절(bow) to our elders and ... ... receive money. Halmi and Halbi blessed me with hundreds. Here I am with my grandparents who spoil me. I love it! Then we went to visit my other grandparents. And of course more of them hundreds. This holiday comes in a close 2nd to Christmas. We ate so much duk gok, galbi jim, and so much more. Then off to my Great Grandparents and yet more money. That night all of our relatives gathered at my emo's house where I have tons of uncles and aunts. Guess what? They ALL showered me with money. I also had so much fun running and playing with my cousins. Here's me and Josie on top of Uncle Ernie. Thank you to everybody who has contributed to the Jacob Kim college fund. This being my 2nd New Years with the addition of dol, I'm a rich little dude.
